Boost your marketing game with these AI tools

Woman looking at documents

Freelance marketing and virtual assistance work just got easier. Thanks to AI tools, tasks from creating and designing content to managing campaigns are more straightforward and efficient.

AI tools to help grow your business

Canva: Easy designing at your fingertips

With Canva, it’s like a design studio in your hands. The pro version gives you brilliant templates to use for blogs, emails, social media and documents. The AI features they’ve added make it super easy to do more stuff.

Oh, and you can add brand palettes and re-size images, take the background off and loads more. Making videos and reels is easier too. Plus, you can upload pdf’s to edit. I’ve created some stunning designs for clients on here, and it’s got a mobile version too so you can design on the go.

Grammarly: Writing with assurance

Grammarly acts as your personal editor, improving your writing by checking for mistakes and offering better ways to phrase your sentences. It’s handy for creating text that’s clear, engaging, and mistake-free.

Later: Simplifying social media

Plan and schedule your social media content across different platforms and, with the pro version of Later – you get hashtag suggestions, the best time for posting and AI features. It acts as your dedicated assistant, ensuring your social media presence remains strong and consistent.

ChatGPT: Never run out of ideas

ChatGPT has been a game changer for all of us. It’s not just there to spark new ideas, it assists in writing content, and coming up with engaging headlines. Bear in mind that I wouldn’t necessarily take the content it churns out because 1. it’s americanised 2. it’s cheesy – I’ve heard ‘elevate your business’, and ‘dive in’ sooooo many times it’s just same same and dull.

So always put the human touch and make it your own tone of voice and call your own judgement on it for client work or your work. But it’s an unlimited source of creativity for all your writing and creative needs. Dalle-E is great for images too. .

ChatGPT Plus is also brilliant if you need to summarise a meeting or notes. With the pro version (Chat GPT4) you can upload documents, pdfs or images and it will create or summarise notes on it. Great for brainstorming sessions with your clients or colleagues where you’ve got lots of notes or voice notes etc.

CoPilot: Navigate marketing with ease

CoPilot gives you insights and tips on marketing strategies, and it gives you sources, making it simpler to tackle longer documents. Imagine having an expert available whenever you need advice. You can also get image creation in Microsoft Co-Pilot too.

Opus Pro

Opus pro is a brilliant AI video repurposing tool. Say you’ve got a YouTube video (long form content), just add the video or put the YouTube URL into Opus, and it will break up the original video into smaller clips.

I know! So good. You can use these on Instagram for example and include captions. So that’s 1 video, turned into 5 smaller clips and done quickly.

I use this tool for clients and my videos. Top tip: Upgrade to the Pro version and you don’t get the watermark and you can get a ton of extras, to be extra with your work.

More AI tools I love that are worth checking out

Claude.ai: Marketing work game changer

I actually prefer Claude (to ChatGPT) for content as AI tools go.

The grammar and language just seem softer and way better for social media captions, for example. It adapts to a variety of marketing needs, offering personalised content creation, data analysis, and strategy planning. It’s like a multifunctional marketing expert by your side.

Otter.ai: Meeting notes just got easier

Otter.ai makes meetings easier and more efficient because it provides real-time transcription services. It captures discussions, generates notes, and organises key points, making collaboration and content creation from meetings seamless.

What’s the difference between AI and LLM?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the broad technology spectrum that encompasses smart machine functions, from speech recognition and decision-making to language translation and game-playing. It ranges from simple programs to complex systems like autonomous vehicles.

Large Language Models (LLM), such as ChatGPT, specialise in processing and generating text that mimics human language.

They’re a subset of AI, trained on vast amounts of text to perform tasks like writing, summarising, and even crafting stories.

Key Differences

  • AI covers all smart technologies
  • LLMs focus on text and language
  • AI handles diverse tasks
  • LLMs specialise in language-related tasks

The AI Crew

These AI tools I’ve mentioned above, they’re not just tools; they’re companions on your journey to efficiency and knowledge – transforming challenges into opportunities, and if you’re stuck for ideas – working them up into actionable deliverables.

The AI tools are not even the start of what’s out there in AI. This is surface level stuff. I also have a whole bunch of other tools too – not even covered in this blog. If you’re interested in Part 2, join my newsletter at the footer of this page.

Anyway, not only do these tools make marketing tasks more straightforward but they also open up new possibilities for creativity and efficiency. Ultimately they are huge time savers and they can level up your content production, tactics, and strategies that truly resonate with your audience.

Because keeping customers happy is part of what marketing is all about, right?
