Top tips to prepare for the festive season

I love Christmas. It’s one of my favourite times of the year, apart from going on holiday. I love the hygge vibes, lights, gatherings and seeing friends and family ….and of course copious amounts of food! It’s all about the turkey and roasties for me.

I’m the chief when it comes to present giving and thoughtful gift ideas. I love it and I’ve kept a Google sheet of gifts I’ve bought for everyone for the last decade so that I know what I got previously how much each item was and who was on the good list, each year lol!

Anyone that knows me, (probably thinks I’m a bit crazy in that sense) knows I am super organised and shiny and love tracking stuff as it’s a busy and stressful time of year!

The festive season is a prime time for businesses to shine, but it can also feel overwhelming with everything happening at once. If you’ve not set a plan up yet, and think it’s too late, don’t worry – emergency help is at hand over here!

Here’s how I may be able to help you streamline your marketing efforts and get results without the stress:

1. Plan your Christmas campaign now

The earlier you start, the better. A clear marketing calendar with planned promotions offers, and social media posts can save you time and help maintain consistency.

  • How I can help: I create detailed marketing calendars, design some visuals, and captions, schedule your content, and ensure your campaigns are ready to roll at the right timings.

2. Optimise your Social Media for engagement

Social media is where many customers look for festive deals and ideas. Ensure your profiles are updated with seasonal visuals, consistent posting, and engagement with followers.

  • How I can help: I can manage your social media accounts, design seasonal posts, and keep your audience engaged by connecting, sharing, posting, doing Stories, nurturing and engaging.

3. Refresh your website

Make sure your website reflects your Christmas / seasonal offers or holiday hours. Update banners, landing pages, and checkout processes for a seamless customer experience. Remember to set a note in your calendar to change these back and edit them.

  • How I can help: I can update your website copy, headings, and visuals, design Christmas banners, and create blogs and tweaks to the copy.

4. Email marketing for quick wins

A Christmas email campaign can remind your customers of special promotions, new products, or last-minute gift ideas. Don’t forget to segment your list for personalised messaging.

  • How I can help: I write and schedule email campaigns that can help bring awareness, sales and engagement.

5. Organise your admin and systems

The Christmas rush can bring chaos. Make sure your calendar, and systems are ready for increased traffic or enquiries.
